to establish myself in Vancouver
Short bio: born and raised in LA; became an adult in the perfect city to become an adult in (Montreal); moved to a crisp, clean, but socially aloof city for work (Vancouver), and now I'm back in LA while I figure out work and grad school stuff.
I spent the last two years working for a digital mapping company in Vancouver to fulfill Canadian immigration obligations. Driving on top of mountains and through forests and cities was super cool, dealing with mundane geocoding issues not so much. I've moved back to LA so that I can concentrate on getting my own professional and academic life back, focusing on urban planning and social justice issues.
