CURRENT MISSION
Discover Berlin
ABOUT ME
Spirited, respectful and low maintenance person. Made in Lisbon. Born in London. Childhood in Strasbourg & Karlsruhe. Gap Year in Barcelona. Lived in London. Living in Berlin. 1/2 American, 1/4 Spanish, 1/8 English, 1/8 French. I went to different schools, learnt many languages and started to travel on my own around the age of 15. I can sleep anywhere; a train, a bus, a tree, ... I eat everything. Helping out is second nature. I am used to not having a washing machine do the dishes. I take a quick shower but might need to borrow some toothpaste or old Tshirt (I always forget something).
I travel to challenge myself, learn a skill, discover a city/culture, to relax and to get lost with the hopes of bettering my knowledge of the world and myself through the people I meet and the experience I have.
Born with the line of escape and several travel lines on my palms.
Nomad, photographer, dreamer, artist, writer, barista, stage manager, curator, explorer.
PHILOSOPHY
“The use of travelling is to regulate imagination by reality, & instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” — Samuel Johnson
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Strangers are like long lost childhood friends to me. I like to share the city I am in; its bars, its parks, its ruins, its secrets. I'll tell you how I manage to pack so much but carry so little. I sometimes go to events to meet new people and take someone in who's in need.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It all started when I took in a wandering surfer in Barcelona from Austin, TX. I like to start a conversation with a stranger or picking up where I left off with an old friend. You never know what you'll discover. I've met only kind, generous & passionate people. And enabled me to visit friends in far off places.

Music, Movies, and Books
Recently I've been enjoying > Nina Simone, Jeff Buckley, The Lumineers, Of Monsters & Men, Black Keys, Alabama Shakes. Generally I listen to an eclectic range of music from rock to jazz to pop. I like to listen to other people's playlists for a change of pace and to discover something I didn't know. Also big fan of live music!
David Foster Wallace, Cloud Atlas (now looking forward to the movie), fiction mostly & anything published by Vintage Classics.
Watched some good movies this summer 30 Beats, Le Prenom, Shame, Moonrise Kingdom. I am a big movies fan of all genres, except horror. They take up almost as much memory on my hard drive as my photos.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Making that flight on time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Berlin -> Get yourself a bike. Mind the dog shit.
Barcelona -> Beware of the charming Argentines. Raval is colourful, central, cheap and tourist free.
Strasbourg -> Go to the top of the Cathedral. La Laiterie good live music venue. Explore outside the medieval centre.
