ABOUT ME

I am an HR Solutions Professional working in Shanghai, China. I was born and raised in Utah, USA and spent time living in Virgina and Texas during college years. Graduated from BYU. Moved to Shanghai in 2002. Graduated with MBA from Tongji University/ University of Texas-Alrington in 2007. Plan on developing in China for at least 10 more years.

PHILOSOPHY

Trust people you meet until they give you a reason not to trust them. Life is best lived when you are not trying to change people but accept them. It is okay if a bad person leaves your life after you confront their badness. When they do, you should expect them to be rude to you and trying to make you feel as bad as they are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am interested in trying CS out on an upcoming trip to the US. I will then find out more and open my couch to others and then consider a donation to the project.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just have friends who have done it here in Shanghai (as hosts) and met a nice girl on the bus who was staying with some Couch Surfers and she was having a positive experience.

Music, books and Movies that uplift and inspire are my preference. I haven't read a fictional book in ages. Too much to learn about things that really happened. Watching a bunch of Ken Burns documentaries these days. Statue of Liberty, War, The Shakers...
