About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have a truly epic life.

ABOUT ME

I'm a student at American University in Washington, D.C. I'm majoring in International Relations with a specialization in Foreign Policy in Sub-Saharan Africa and a minor in French and Mandarin Chinese. I want to be a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. State Department or work for the United Nations. Eventually I also want to publish photography of conflict zones around the world and work at an orphanage abroad. I can't wait to travel to literally anywhere and everywhere. Give me a plane ticket, and I'll be on my way right now.

PHILOSOPHY

My life is to be lived traveling, exploring, LIVING. I want to become a diplomat because I believe speech is the strongest weapon, and should be wielded to save lives before the fighting starts.
I have a list of over 500 things to do before I croak, and I intend to complete every one of them. When I say "No regrets," I mean it. If I have to have them, I would rather regret things I DID do rather than those I didn't. Life isn't meant to be missed. We are all epic in our own ways. This may be the most important moment of your life. Commit to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Washington, D.C. during the election and Inauguration of Barack Obama as President... We slept overnight on the National Mall in 10-degree weather for 16 hours, but we were near the very front. It was the most painful and incredible experience... to see the sunrise over the Capitol and then look behind you and realize that sometime during the night while you were trying to keep warm, 2 MILLION people had joined you for a common purpose.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty good at French and slowly working my way through learning Mandarin Chinese. I've played the violin for 10 years. I'm getting back into drawing again.

I want to learn parkour, how to play the piano and drums, and any other language in the world. And pretty much anything else there is to learn out there.
