About Me

Sail the world...

passionate about design and architecture, I like sailing, travelling, getting to know people... then I thought: why not combine all of these?
So now I am sailing around the world since 2007 to get inspired by people and cultures from all over the planet...
We (Eve and me) left Belgium (in july 2007) on my sailboat named "Cries 'n Whispers" and so far still drifting around on this magnificent and amazing planet.
I have a website and blog about my travels on

life is way to short do do all the things I would like to do, it's a wonderful world.
a Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I am sailing in a small boat, I can't host people at this time, but once I 'll settle down, and I will one day, my doors will be open to every traveller. The best thing about travelling is meeting and getting to know people from other countries, cultures, origin, religions or races.

This organisation is fantastic, I have quite a lot of experience with "Hospitality club" when I travelled on the south American continent, the people I met were realy amazing, so helpfull, it was hart warming.

Creativity is really the reason why I am alive, it's my reason to be. As long as I can design stuff, I am a happy man! :)
Art is my spice of life. I love minimalist Japanese architecture, wabi sabi, interior design, light design, art, paintings and sculptures, playing guitar/piano.

travelling & adventure, hiking, old school Ducati’s, sailing-surfing-diving, lots of Belgian chocolate, fruitcocktails, poetry, Wally high-tech yachts as much as antique wooden pilot cutters,
and I love animals, except creepy bugs :)
