Have fun, see the world, learn, live and make a positive difference (climate change!)
Hi I'm Meadhbh (pronounced Mayve, yes it's a crazy Irish spelling!)
Lived in Dublin my whole life. Been living in Australia for the past 2 years, both working (engineer and climate campaigning)and travelling.
Now I'm embarking on an overland trip back to Ireland passing through more than 15 countries! It was really my passion for climate change that motivated me to not fly home (and reading an article by Kevin Anderson on the topic). It's all about slow travel, seeing different cultures, learning about myself and the world, and having fun!
Always be truthful (karma is for real!) and mindful, live on the edge, stress and worry are not worth the hassle
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
You get the best knowledge about a place from the people living in that place :-)
I'm new to this! But am very keen on meeting locals and really experiencing and getting a feel of the places I visit on my travels. Best way to travel!

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of music.
Journalists, bloggers and authors I love are Naomi Klein, Sarah Wilson, George Monbiot, Bill McKibben, Jess Ainscough, Emelie Forsberg.....ok there is too many to go on!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmmmm one thing is......being born!!
Perhaps also the time when I decided to cycle on my own to a cave on a random little island off Panama. There was one old lady and her dog - no English. I went into the cave with a torch that broke almost straight away, attempted to wade through in waist high water, complete darkness, large spiders, bats all around me...never been so scared, but also exhilarated!
Teach, Learn, Share
Climate change is the number 1 problem in the world and it affects everything from extreme weather events, poverty, food and water shortages, health....we need to all work harder to lessen the impacts ASAP before we all are dooooooomed!!!!!
On a more positive note BE HAPPY and don't allow space for negative thoughts in your head then you will attract happiness and good people!
