Join Couchsurfing to see Meg’s full profile. It’s free!
I'd much rather discuss my interests in person than an online profile, but alas! Here goes:
I LOVE dogs. Borderline obsessed. I occasionally walk and board them at my apartment for extra cash. Unfortunately, I know I'm too busy to actually take care of my own right now.
I ride my bike almost everywhere.
I work a lot, so I don't keep internet at my apartment (at least for now.) It keeps me from bringing my work home. Hope you understand!
I've recently picked up sewing and alterations, so if you need a new button or a patch or anything like that, I'd be happy to help out. I really like to make things, whether of fabric, canvas and paint, furniture, shelves, anything. I take on a lot of DIY projects.
"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm just beginning my Couchsurfing experience, at the recommendation of several close friends. I'm tidy, welcoming, and very social, and I hope to meet new interesting friends through Couchsurfing, and have some fun stories to add here over the coming year(s).
Art, textiles, and design are way up on my list. I love to look at the things people make.
I really love history, and will often rattle off random historical tidbits. I also really enjoy reading, though I find myself with less and less time for it these days.
I love cooking! And I'm not just saying that.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like really love Keira Knightley: Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, etc. Also, heartwrenching dramas and off-beat comedies: Seven Pounds, An Education, anything Wes Anderson.
I'm listening to a lot of Florence, Lana, and Beach House right now. I enjoy female vocalists.
I just finished A Clockwork Orange and Ender's Game. I like fantasy and dystopian-future novels at the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing on the Mediterranean shores in Israel, looking into the clear blue and seeing the ruins of Herod's Harbor out beneath the sea. So beautiful.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to teach: how to make a life-changing omelette, how to sew on a button and make basic clothing repairs, how awesome Rothko is, and random other things.
I'd like to learn: how to knit, how to crochet, new music, artists I haven't heard of, etc.
