Im finishing studyng my A Levels at college and am then hoping to spend a few months travelling at the start of my gap year before starting work experience within the fashion advertising industry.
My name is Megan and i live in Kent, England.
I've just left college after finishing my a levels, i took english, media, film, photography and sociology. i'm currently on my gap year and am spending time in california at the moment. i'm currently surfing my cousins couch in north hollywood, but i think that the amount of time i would like to spend here differs from the amount of time she would like!
I enjoy music, films, photography, fashion, travel, reading and socialising.
i spend my free time with my friends, although that has been limited of late as most of my time has been spent working trying to afford this extended vacation! i worked in a pub and a wine bar and am happy to now enjoy some time not working.
i like 'indie' rock music, a bit of trance and electro and anything i can dance to really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
my california adventure has consisted so far of arriving in san francisco and staying there for three days and nights, then driving along the coastal highway to san simeon, stopping off at carmel by the sea along the way. driving through the big sur was amazing, some of the best views i have ever seen. the sunset in san simeon was gorgeous and the stars were so clear across the ocean. after leaving there the plan was to drive inland, but after getting to bakersville we changed our minds and headed straight to los angeles, 2 days ahead of schedule. we stayed by my cousins house on ventura blvd, and after 2 nights i left my aunt and sister and travelled to venice beach (on my own, first time in california) to meet my friends from london who were also out here. i stayed with them in a hostel for two nights, we rented bikes and rode around santa monica, it was so nice and i sampled the best fruit smoothies venice offered - they were amazing. i travelled back to studio city with my friends who stayed in the same hotel as my family for one night - i stayed in a room with my friends and still paid for the other room, but i guess thats fair. the next day whilst i headed to malibu with the family, my friends went to mexico, where i would travel down (again alone) to meet them. two nights later we ate at ketchup on sunset, it was such a cool restarant, unlike others i had seen. the next day i headed to san diego then to tijuana where i met my friends. we stayed in tj for one night, i didnt like it too much, it was all 'too much' with all the commercialisation but i guess you have to head firther south to see the real mexico. regardless, tequila and beer were drank in excess. headed to rosarito for two days the next day, it was nice there but still pretty commercial. hung around on the beach and the pier, ate lobster and swam alot. two days later we headed further south to ensenada where we booked a deep sea fishing trip departing at 6.30 the next morning. after an early night we woke up and left for that. it was so cool, we caught lots of red snappers and i caught a shark! as much as i like to think it was just like jaws, in reality it was about 40cm long. still exciting though! headed back to san diego that day and stayed there for a night, went to a restaurant called rice which had a rooftop bech themed bar, drank hideously expensive cocktails and laughed a lot! woke up at 5 to get the 6 o clock amtrack to los angeles the next day, where my cousins husband took me along mullholland on his motorbike which was the coolest thing EVER untill it started to rain and thats my trip so far!
