I love the sense of community cities have. Being involved in community in some way or another is really important to me. Be it through work, school, or neighbourhoods (or amazing online communities involving couch sleeping and people meeting).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the CS Project but am really intrigued. Getting to meet people who actually live there is the perfect way to get a true sense of a city! I surfed in Belgium and it was a great experience!

I can't host at the moment but if you want to meet up, I'd be happy to show you around Toronto!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had one 'formal' couch surfing experiences through the CS Project, but have hosted many friends on my couch over the years. Living with roommates always brings new friends from out of town, and last summer especially we seemed to have a full couch quite often. The busiest the house got was the week we had a group of 4 German friends come and stay with us. They were slowly making their way across Canada with a car they bought for $1000. It sounded like a great trip and we were all tempted to quit work and jump in the car with them when they left.

Interests

I love exploring cities, and spend most weekends in Toronto biking around (even in the winter). Grabbing a book and a coffee and finding a tree to lean against in a park is my ideal afternoon.

Brunch is by far the best meal ever.

I also love having friends over for dinner, going out to grab a beer, or the occasional dance session.

I studied psychology and sociology in school and am totally smitten with the two disciplines. I've been out of school for too long so I'm a little rusty, but always welcome thoughtful conversation.
