About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living life, and meeting new awesome people
ABOUT ME
I graduated college in California a few years ago with a double major in Math and Theatre. Now I live in Chicago and work in freelance theatre around the city. I love it here and am looking to find places I love even more. I'm a pretty laid back person with a healthy sense of adventure. I like meeting new and interesting people and exploring new places. I tend make a few plans when traveling, but also allow for lots of flexibility. I'm looking to have a good time, meet some great people, and see some cool things. I've outgrown the party phase but very much enjoy a few good drinks with a few good people.
PHILOSOPHY
I tend to adopt a take life as it comes sort of attitude about life. I don't have a grand plan for where I want to be and what I want to be doing in 10 years, but I work hard to do well at whatever I'm doing now, with the confidence that it will lead to something great, even if I don't know exactly what that is yet. I tend to be passionate and excited about life, but still remain grounded in the reality of what is actually possible and practical.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to do some surfing, and I'd love to host, but my current living situation doesn't really allow for it. I'm pretty self sufficient when travelling. I'd be happy to have someone to show me around, or can be pretty content exploring new places on my own. I'd love to at least have someone to meet up with in the evenings and share some good conversation over a meal or a drink.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Brand new to couch surfing but have heard great things and am very excited to get started.
Interests
I enjoy bike riding, exploring, theatre, art, spending time outdoors, rock climbing and just generally appreciating of the people and cultures surrounding me. I am fascinated by the world around me and the people who make it what it is.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't even know where to start...
Movies/TV: Arrested Development, Lord of the Rings, Fracture, Moulin Rouge, Stranger than Fiction, Superhero movies, Comedies, I have a soft spot for feel-good kids movies
Music: I love music, but know almost nothing about it. 99% of the time when I'm listening to music I have no idea who the artist is, or what the song's called, but am probably rocking out anyway.
Books: Too many to list here, but generally, I go for fiction and usually something vaguely, sci-fi or fantasy, though it really depends on my mood at the time. Recent/Current Reads: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Solitude of Prime numbers, and still working my way through Harry Potter. I'm always looking for suggestions
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most recently, I jumped out of a plane for the first time. It was exhilarating, and beautiful, and just plain awesome.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm sure there are plenty of facts, tidbits, and more tradition knowledge I'd be able to share with you, but I'd love to spend some time expounding life philosophy's with people. I believe that learning about how individuals think tells you a lot more about who they are as a person than reading a list of their hobbies and interests, though the hobbies and interests provide a great starting point for those conversations.
