I'm pretty laid back and friendly, and I enjoy getting out seeing and doing things and meeting new people. I can be lots of fun, but I also work pretty hard and get things done. I love cycling and partying. I read a lot. I love music. And travelling - of course.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new at this! I have a lovely spacious house in Johannesburg with space for nice couch surfers, and am hoping to find nice spaces to crash when I'm off on my own adventures.

兴趣

I'm really getting into cycling these days - not as sport, but as a form of commuting. I have a vintage cruiser named Toby which I love to bits!

I'm an academic at a South African university, where I teach media and cultural studies. So I spend a lot of my time reading, writing and talking with students.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In terms of travelling: cycling through Rio on my first ever trip to Brazil; journeying by train through the snow covered landscape of Germany and Poland one winter; road-tripping through the former Transkei and seeing magnificent Nguni cattle chilling out on the pristine beaches there.
