I grew up on a small farm and went to a small school (graduating class of 52, yo). As far as I can tell, I don't think I'll be going back any time soon. I've found that I really love to explore beyond the major attractions of a place and see what everyday life is like (this often involves getting lost, but it usually works out in the end).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently studying landscape architecture abroad in Germany. While I'm living so centrally in Europe, I'm really hoping to (meaningfully) see as much of the region as I can! Couchsurfing is the coolest way to get in touch with what it's really like in a city, especially when only visiting for a short time.
Traveling (obviously), hiking, dancing like an actual crazy person, reading, and landscape architecture
Music, Movies, and Books
Firefly; Lord of the Rings; The Hobbit; O Brother, Where Art Thou?; The Man From UNCLE; The Gods Must Be Crazy; Guardians of the Galaxy; Archer; Edward Rutherford novels
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Running through the rainforest in Costa Rica to make sure we got out of the trees before sunset. Apparently even more things can try to kill you in the rainforest after dark. But still, that was one hell of a hike!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you a lot of things about sheep. And some about llamas.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Beyond my incredibly fascinating knowledge of the ovine population? What more could they possibly want?
