Hey folks, I'm Mel!
I'm a 21 year old German who's crazy about hiking, nature and basically just every adventure I can find (legit hikertrash).
I would decribe myself as an open-minded, quirky and positive person with a really weird humour and lots of bad jokes. Sometimes my friends call me hilarious (haha).

I travelled and worked for one year in New Zealand (oh that beautiful beautiful country!)
Worked a little while at home (sucked!)
Escaped after a few months to Asia where I travelled through Thailand and Indonesia. I loved the food, the people and the culture!
Sadly I had to go back to real life to save up some money for my next big adventure..

I'll be travelling (hitchhiking) around England and Scotland in November, working in Austria over the winter, hiking from Mexico to Canada next summer and then hopefully spending at least one year in Australia.

Interests

I love love love hiking! And mountains. And nature in general.
Thats why I'll totally hike the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada in 2019.

Music, Movies, and Books

I had a knee surgery a couple weeks back so I started to read Harry Potter - best decision ever!!

I'm a little rock girl- I grew up listening to mostly punk/rock bands but I added heaps of indie/folk musicians to my playlist these days. My family can see me quite often dancing around the kitchen, jamming some golden 80s or 90s hits - so yeah, I enjoy quite a few different types of music :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the full length of New Zealands south island in 2017 (1300km) and it was the best thing Ive ever done!
