See the world, get my Ph.D., teach.
I am a Classics/Ancient History graduate student who plans to become a University Professor. I love sharing my love of history through teaching. I love long runs on bright sunny days. I love smiling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I am getting ready to leave the UK to spend two months living in Rome. In the near future, I hope to do some more traveling/spend a couple years living/teaching/researching in Italy. Regardless, whether I am back in the US or living somewhere in Italy for a bit, I would love to host other couchsurfers one day.
I recently had my first couchsurfing experience on a trip with my friends to Amsterdam. I've never had such a positive travel experience! Our host was incredibly nice and hospitable, helped us navigate the city, and introduced us to the culture of the city (food, music, etc.).
Ancient Rome, History, Long-Distance Running, Learning ancient languages, Learning new languages (currently teaching myself Italian), Tennis, Sports in general, Sitting outside on a bright sunny day, beaches, museums, architecture.
