About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to learn about the culture and lifestyle of places not through books, but the people that live there.

ABOUT ME

I'm a bit shy/reserved, especially with new people and large groups. I don't have many friends, but the ones I do have would go to the end of the world for me and I for them. Adventuresome but not foolhardy. Open to new experiences, unless it involves heights, then I would have to think about it. I love to try new and different cuisines.

PHILOSOPHY

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to Couchsurfing, but I hope to host people that need a place to crash to people that want to experience where I live through my eyes. I also want to travel and meet people who can give me a taste of their lives and the history/culture of their home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as of yet.

Interests

I like to travel to new places. Given the time, I would rather drive than fly because it allows me the opportunity to stop if something should pique my interest. I also like to cook. I have a Chinese food cookbook that I have been playing around with.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read fantasy books. "The Sword of Shannara" series by Terry Brooks is one of my favorites. My favorite movie is "The Fifth Element."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been going to the Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville, Texas since I was born. I consider the people I've met there my family. This festival is an experience in itself, but to have made lasting relationships makes it even more amazing to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I may not have much to teach, but I will share my experiences. Who knows, maybe those experiences can unlock something for someone else. But I definitely want to learn about different people and places. Books can only teach so much.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, England, France, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Scotland, Spain
