About Me

on a quest for true happiness

Once upon a time... I was born in little Bilbao, fed up of the raining days and clouds decided to look for sunny places in this world. (more than 200 days of sun per year). So far, I have found some few places with this characteristics.
I suppose this search for sun, is a reflection of my personality, easy to smile when you have the sun on your side.

¨Happiness only real when shared¨. The sentence is not mine (from the movie Into the Wild), but it describes fully my feelings about life.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I truly believe in people. If I would have to start a new faith, my motto will be ¨People are the best thing in earth¨. Therefore, I think meeting random people for a tea, to discover his/her wonderful world is the best way to put in practice my motto.

Bilbao, August 2006, my friends and I met, this Argentinian band playing on the streets, at Bilbao Festival. After the show, we invited them all to have dinner at our place, and 7 people ended up sleeping on the salon. It was a great night..

I love nature, going up (climbing, hiking ) going deep ( scuba diving), going crazy (rafting and paragliding).

Trying whatever comes on my way...

Music, Movies & Books

I just can stop listening Jarabe de Palo& Chambao ¨Dejame Vivir ¨,it is a beautiful song.
African Music, in all their shapes and bits.
Reggae in the right doses.
100 years of solitude, Garcia Marquez, (if the will make it a soapy will be the best of all ).
Almudena Grandes Corazon Helado
Disgrace of J.M Coetzee
Everything falls apart,of Chinua Achebe.
Shidarta, the most beautiful story ever tell.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I trucked a black rhino in the skeleton coast of Namibia.
