Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first time travelling on my own(even tho i spent a year in Arizona for a student exchange program, but that was different). I will be travelling for two months, im now staying in a hostel in Valencia and was thinking to spend here a month and then just tour around Spain a little. But i dont have a lot of money so a friend i met here told me about this website and i thought it was a really cool opportunity also to get to experience the places you go to not as a tourist but as a citizen and hopefully make new good friends!
