Keep an open eye and open mind
Grew up in a coastal city Tsingtao in China which is famous for it beer, then moved to Hong Kong for study and work. Having lived in Hong Kong for over seven years, I will be moving on to Macau later this year.
Try as many interesting things as I can while I am still young.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I got to know it during my exchange study period in Finland. My schoolmate was a CSer and she brought me to a CS party in Helsinki.
It has been great and I always meet nice people whenever and wherever I travel, especially those who shared the same interests with me! I really appreciated the help I got from CSers that have hosted me and I wish I could help other surfers in return. This is one of the many things that I learned from CS.
What I treasure the most is that some of these nice people I met have become friends with me in real life! I think it is what we Chinese called 'fate', that I can meet a total stranger in a world of seven billion people.
Hiking - Regular hiker, hiked to a lot of places in Hong Kong during weekends, sometimes go for tough and long ones, sometimes relaxing and scenic ones. Hong Kong is more than a city of skyscrapers, there are so many beautiful hiking places with easy access.
Yoga - Trying to keep myself practice yoga everyday, it is my medicine both physically and mentally. It is something that I felt in love with at the very beginning, and I can feel happiness and calmness from the practice.
Jogging - Jogging along the Central coast makes me love this city more
Scuba diving - Beginner level but I'm trying to go for more dives, the underwater marine life is just beyond imagination.
Architecture - I am interested in all kinds of architecture, from modern masterpieces, traditional buildings to vernacular dwellings.
Cooking - The dishes I prepare are simple but all my friends like my cooking.
History, Chinese calligraphy, drinking tea, reading maps, getting lost in the city, cereal & yogurts
- scuba diving

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked in the 3000+ snow mountain areas with a group of strangers for three and half days, and the mountain is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
Volunteer on an island in Malaysia for a few days doing coral planting, and learn about how they preserve turtle eggs.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have practiced Chinese calligraphy since I was a kid and I think it is very elegant, dynamic and meaningful, I wish to share with more people about its beauty.
-I love to learn about normal people's life wherever I travel, places that local people would visit and spend time.
-Different cooking methods
