I left home at the age of 18 and have been travelling for the last 6 years. Since then I have travelled through 20 countries and lived on 4 continents! I grew up in South Africa, and other than my backpacking trips and occasional volunteering, I worked as an Au Pair for 2 years in The USA, I taught English for 2 years in Vietnam, and now I have been in Brazil for 7 months volunteering in many different places.

I like to meet new people, connect with new cultures, discover new types of food and experience nature in all its beauty! I love hiking, cycling, reading, playing the Ukelele and spending time at the beach with the people I meet as I discover new places. I also love to cook, and am happy to introduce people to unique types of foods I've learned how to cook throughout my travels.

My goal is to travel in a sustainable way, focussing on giving back through volunteering and connecting with people from all over the world, rather than travelling in luxury. I feel more satisfied travelling on a low budget with my focus on gaining experiences rather than materialistic things. By living this way I feel the most fulfilled!

I would like to connect with more people in the countries I am travelling in, to be able to understand more about the Country through the eyes of the local people.

I would love to share my experiences and hear about the experiences of others as well. To create unique memories with new people I meet along my journey.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I hiked for 2 weeks in the Himalayas in Nepal (Annapurna Circuit) at the beginning of 2019, and it was such an incredible experience!

I also did a trip by motorbike from the South to Central Vietnam for just over 1000km, in 2 weeks. The trip took place on a highway through the mountains and valleys and occasionally along the coast of Vietnam. It was incredible!

I would like to express the culture of South Africa and great stories of things I've experienced around the world. I can help with some English Improvement as it is my native language, and I would be happy to cook delicious food for any host willing to host me!
