After working for nearly a decade, I found myself extremely bored of the New York City rat race and decided to dedicate 2016 to seeing and doing as much as possible. I started the year surfing in Mexico and most of Central America, but unfortunately hurt my shoulder in El Salvador and was unable to continue the surf trip. I came back to New York with the motivation of spending a summer in Europe, and I see no better time than now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my 4 1/2 months of traveling, I have heard nothing but incredible experiences from fellow travelers about Couchsurfing and feel that I owe it to myself to try it. I have met some amazing, lifelong friends in hostal dormrooms, but I am willing to put that aside and try something different.
