Hello all! My name is Mike and I am a resident of the city I find to be one of the best on the planet - Philadelphia. From a long history of my family living here for generations (myself excluded, ironically) it is safe to say I have found a way to love this city in a way most probably do not. I literally know every corner of this city and all the fun to be had in every part of it! Making a big move from my small town lifestyle in a rural area of Pennsylvania to the city of Philadelphia, my desire to share my love for Philly has only grown! I absolutely love meeting new people! I'm so easy to get along with and just love the interaction with new people as I get to know them. Among other things, I love to go out pretty much all the time - I swear my apartment should have a revolving door because I'm always in and out going somewhere, doing something usually stupid or crazy... or both.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like I said, I love to meet new people. The world is so vast with so many people of all different cultures. With that being said, I want to open myself up in a way that I can allow myself to meet more people while also showing/sharing the city of Philadelphia with them, whether they visit me or I visit them.

Interests

I love to go out! Seriously, we only have one life to live and I plan to LIVE IT UP! I always tell everyone: One day we will all be confined to our death bed and the only thing that will allow us to accept a bittersweet end are the memories we've made throughout our entire life that made it a life worth living. When I'm lying on my death bed one day, I would rather have volumes upon volumes of books full of memories versus a sticky note.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love any and all type of music as I'm always open to different or new genres. However, I do have a soft spot for EDM (sorry to disgust anyone as this tends to be a general reaction to that answer), while I also appreciate classic rock like The Rolling Stones and even some classic R&B. Let's put it this way - if it's the type of music/song you would find a bar full of people belting out the lyrics - I probably like it (do I hear Bohemian Rhapsody playing...?)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most people tend to go to the same places when they travel abroad from the US for the first time (i.e. Paris, Rome, London, etc) - I on the other hand went to Moscow for my first trip abroad. I have to say - I regret nothing! An amazing trip and unique trip indeed!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Of course I would love to host people at my current residence. However, I live with 2 other roommates. Since this is my very first time using couch surfing, I will need to run the idea by them as well - considering this is their place too, although I do not anticipate an issue of any sort. For the time being, for anyone visiting Philadelphia - LET ME KNOW! Would absolutely love to meet up and show everyone around!
