About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have the best time I can possibly have before summer starts. Then it's off to school. But in the meantime, I want to go as many places, meet as many people, and experience as much as I can pack into the next 3 months.

ABOUT ME

I am a very simple person. Simply by putting out good energy (or trying to keep good Karma, whatever you would like to call it, it's all the same really), I attract other good energies towards myself. I like being around people who are open, honest, happy, fun people. To make those elements present in my life, I generate them from myself. Being kind, always having an open ear, sharing whatever I have (which at the moment is not a lot), simply being a good person attracts other good people towards you. I could go off about dozens of good, honest people I have met on my travels who had no reason to be good people other than because that is the right thing to do. Also, they are always the happiest people I ever meet.

PHILOSOPHY

For the next couple months, the idea is to have as much fun as I possibly can. Learning new things, meeting new people, going new places. Life is beautiful, the world does have hope, never underestimate the individual.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new at this couch-surfing thing. The idea is beautiful, and I want to give back to it. Sadly, I have no residence right now that I can invite guests to stay at. The day will come when I am a best-selling author, open a hostel, and help travelers from all over the world. The day will come.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am on my first bit of couch surfing as I write this. So, I was in Boulder Colorado, coming from Los Angeles to see some of my friends graduate high school. After all the post-graduation parties and tomfoolery, I decided to start traveling again. As I was sitting on the sidewalk in Boulder, eating a sandwich on a bench under a tree somewhere downtown, I met a guy named Dennis from Bangladesh. He told me he was going up to Seattle for some reason (I could understand 1 word in 2 ). So I decided to travel with him to the Northwest. Seattle was rad, I loved crawling all over that city to see everything there was to see. I started traveling again 1 week ago. While staying at the hostel (Green Tortoise!!!) I met a couple really cool people who invited back to their house in Olympia. Oly is sick, these people are really cool, but I don't want to overstay my welcome. Oly is a small town really, and I really want to come back in the summer.

Interests

I am teaching myself the guitar, and I have a fun little Johnson acoustic with this trippy distortion. Sadly, somebody broke my bottom string yesterday. Oh well. I also love reading, but traveling with books is difficult. Learning languages, taking walks, dancing like a crazy person, finger painting... I dig a lot of things. Especially learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything. Biographies, Fiction, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Indie, Metal, Punk, Funk, Reggae, Country, everything. Douglas Adams was the first author to pop into my head, and for some reason City of God was the movie. The first band was Mirah (because I am listening to them.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Boulder, Colorado to Seattle, Washington in 11 days, then went fishing 200 miles off the coast of Oregon. Just for the hell of it. I had a great time. I caught a shark while I was out to sea, and I have the scar to prove it. I joined a cult once. That was really cool for a while. Those are both really good stories, if you have the time to hear them.

Teach, Learn, Share

A faith in positive energy in the world. This is the one thing that enables me to live the life that I do. Since I have become aware of the nature of this positive energy and my own spiritual awareness in myself, I have been able to take life to boundaries I previously couldn't fathom. I have found too much beauty and good in this world to give up hope on it. The good things are worth fighting for. Don't be passive in life. Change. Grow. Affect the world around you in a positive way. Not to do that is to waste your life.
