Jacques (my husband) and I are simple and easy going people. We live in the country, have lots of friends there, we like discussions, music, art in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly for now I want to be on Couchsurfing to be able to receive travellers and also because we ourselves travel with a van and like to park it in someone's backyard instead of in the streets when we are in cities.

Interests

Jacques is retired - was a school teacher for disabled kids. He likes to build things, take pictures, is passionate about politics.
I work in my painting studio, organise events, am quite involved in various non-profit organisations.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like classical (Baroque), blues (Shri), soul (Solomon Burke), some rap (Kery James, Keni Arkana, world music (Anoushka Shankar).
We like Ken Loach, Iranien and Korean films, British comedies.
Jacques reads a lot of political essays, I am more interested in various spiritual traditions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I co-authored, directed and played in an adaptation of a Robbe-Grillet novel for the theater many years ago.
For years I have been organizing regularly either events in various cities or music or book signing tours.
