COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never actually done couch surfing before. One of my friends told me about it and am so excited to meet up with people during my travels! It also would be great to show people around my city as well. :-)

Interests

I am a pretty active person. I love yoga, running, riding my bike (particulary night bike rides), camping and hiking. I also love the arts. I am into photography and encaustic painting. I love learning new languages and practicing them. Love live music, world music, dancing, going to plays, and of course travelling!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all different types of music. Usually, my music is picked up from weird stuff my friends turn me onto. But genre wise my tastes are quite diverse. I love all sorts of music. Live music, world music, electronic, hiphop/R&B are my top faves. I like foreign movies or movies with interesting cinematography. Top faves are Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting, City of God. My to favorite authors of the moment are Isabel Allende and Jhumpa Lahiri...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love to give back to others. I was an AmeriCorps volunteer and worked with migrant farmworkers and at risk/homeless youth. I also volunteered in an orphanage in Costa Rica. I love to live in foreign countries for an extended period so I can really expierence the culture and way of life of the people there. I had the opportunity to do this in Malta, Costa Rica, and Switzerland...
