I am travelling with my long term girlfriend Sadie (age 25). We both enjoy listening to music, munching food, travelling, meeting new people and learning about different cultures. We make the most of each day and generally enjoy life.
We love our friends and family but unfortunately they couldn't join us on our epic adventure!
We have spent the last year building a motorhome from a panel van to aid our travels in NZ.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are looking for a place to stay in or around Auckland for a couple of weeks until our motorhome has arrived from the UK and is road leagal in NZ.
We will then be hitting the road to travel both islands over the course of two years.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

We both like a wide variety of music but tend to avoid English pop music. We enjoy going to gigs and festivals and soaking up the live atmosphere.
We like all genres of film but sci-fi is our least favourite.
Neither of us are book lovers, we prefer being active.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We visted Turkey this year and went paragliding from one of the highest take off sites in the world at over 1,960 metres. The scariest part was the ride up the mountain but it was worth it for the view, it was absolutely stunning. As soon as we landed on the beach we wanted to do it all over again!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have played drums for 17 years and studied music for 3 years at college. I taught drums whilst at college and would be happy to give you some drum lessons.
I am also a fully qualified plumber and would be happy to help out around the house with any odd jobs that may need doing.
I'm sure Sadie would be more than happy to create a masterpiece for you as a reminder of our stay!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We would be willing to help out around your home with the gardening, cooking, cleaning and general maintenance. Or if you're interested maybe even a drum lesson.
