Always hard to describe yourself honesly, so here is what I know for fact:
Adventurous, positive, open-minded and friendly (hope I can trus my friend's judjement on those))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The only true way to enjoy the new conutry is to get to know people who live there. But staying in hotels or rushing through museums leave little place for this.
So that had to be changed and couchsurfing is a great way to meet people who share the same idea on traveling.
So why the hell not to join)
Getting to know new places and experiences, music, books, bars and pubs, roller blades and ice-skates, hiking.
- pub crawls
Music, Movies, and Books
Basically everything except for club/electronic music.
As for films - I can easily go with mindless flashy action (well, any Marvel movie can be counted as one - and that's not a bad trait) or smth with clever twist (like Prestige or The Game).
Aaaand books - well, lot's of them. Over the last couple of year I tend to lean toward Remark or Bradbury or Zelazny, but I keep an open mind toward any other piece.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After visiting a casle 30 km outside of Lviv (Ukrain) we (a few friends and I) realised that the last buses stopped running a few hours back. So we started stralling into a random direction, enhoying a scenery. And then while on top of a hill we saw a horse-cart, carrying hay. So we ran down he slope, negotiated via some signs and lots of enthusiasm (since we didn't speak the language) and took a 3 hour drive to a Lviv outskirts through a almoust medieval area in a hay cart.
Teach, Learn, Share
Whatever I know and they would like to learn.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As well as food, drinks (the best part), lots of good mood and last shirt - if they need it)
People who are ready to share their home definately deserve at least that in return.
