About Me

I'm just starting on couch surfing, after hearing all the great stories from friends and my older brother, and now we've started hosting ourselves while we're both at home (go to Louis Boyle Bryant to enquire). I'm an aspiring screenwriter, an avid traveller when I have the money, and enthusiastic music person, even though I can't play anything without making my ears hurt, so naturally I love concerts, but probably prefer getting to hear new music more than anything, be it live stuff, or just through friends. I love sports, and I mean it. Throw me a ball, stick, puck - anything really, and I'll play for hours, that's a promise. I love walking around to get to know places, so if you're into walking, having no plan, taking lots of photos, and just having a chat, I'm sure we'll get along fine. That's all I've got for now, I'll add more stuff about myself once I figure it out !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel, host, and most importantly just meet new people ! Everyone has a story, and I'd love to hear each and every one of them !

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music is a real mix. Love John Mayer for his story telling and feeling in his music, I enjoy listening to epic movie scores when I'm writing, I love a bit of 80s rock n roll, and currently I'm hooked on 'Stumblin' In' by the Smokie. Other artists I enjoy are Vance Joy, Dido, Paul Kelly, INXS, Paul McCartney, Green Day & the Strokes (and many more, too many more !)
Favourite movies is a tough one, I watch so many of them ! I'd have to say I loved Inception, cried watching Cinema Paradiso, watch way too many Gerard Depardieu French films, and hopefully get to make my own favourites in the future.
As for books, I haven't read too much lately, but just finished the Foreigner, which was solid. I love reading crime novels, and your classic fantasies like Lord of the Rings, which by the way are my favourite movies ever too. If you have any cool book recommendations I'd love to hear them as I'm trying to get back into reading one or two a week.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gone swimming between the tectonic plates in glacial waters in Iceland. Expensive, freezing cold, but totally worth doing. Clearest water ever, amazing underwater rock formations, and once your face goes numb you really get to take the beautiful scenery in.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach: Australian football, cricket, maybe some film/photography techniques.
Learn: Eveything ! Seriously I enjoy learning new things ! Languages are great, practical skills even, but most of all, culture and history and more about you, the people I want to meet, would be perfect.
Share: Stories.
