ABOUT ME

I am a mom, wife, gourmet cook, heirloom tomato gardener, musician, seamstress, craft horse, organic food lover and mountain sport enthusiast. I do not like to clean and am not afraid of germs. I love my kids and I travel all around the world with my infants strapped to me and my other kids running wild around the airports. I love people and have so many great stories of meeting people all around the world and I love to create friendships with everyone I meet and share ideas and uplift and be uplifted by all

PHILOSOPHY

"There's only two things that money can't buy and that's true love and home grown tomatoes" I just heard that song on NPR and I love it! I live my life to learn and improve myself and all those around me. I love people and have big plans to travel around the world helping people with my many children.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to help people who need a place to stay and I would like to meet new people and share what I've learned about being a mother and about all my fun hobbies with the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Amish country with an awesome couple who were Mennonite and then my friend and I took a trip out to Oregon and Washington where we stayed with a few different people and that was the best part of the trip. I milked goats, had stimulating conversation, saw an awesome home schooled family in action and was fed some amazing food.

Interests

Gourmet and exotic food, heirloom vegetables, babies and kids, sewing and crafting, religions, traveling around the world, camping, snowboarding, biking, swimming, tennis, running, fishing, hiking and really any sport. I play the mandolin, guitar, piano, violin and various other little instruments. I will perform for you if you stay with me:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just recently traveled with all three of my children, by myself, to Utah and Idaho from Pittsburgh and survived! I have given birth to two of my three children with no epidural and I liked it! Bring on more natural babies!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can introduce you to the world of heirloom vegetables, particularly heirloom tomatoes. I can also jam with you on the mandolin(if you have one or are at my house) or guitar and sing you a lullaby that will melt your heart! I can teach you about crafting, sewing cute baby girl dresses, baby wraps, living green, and eating right(not like they tell you on the Today Show but the real way to eat right) and you are welcome to join me in the basement for a killer workout on the treadmill or bike trainer! I speak Italian fluently, can get by in Spanish and can communicate somewhat in ASL and my Russian I learned in high school is slowly coming back from hanging out with my best friend from Kazakhstan. I have seriously tried every sport, so many instruments, and have never said no to a road trip. I am a "YES" woman and am looking forward to anything and everything that can teach me more about this amazing planet and the beautiful people who live on it.
