CURRENT MISSION

We are 2 lovely fun girls, wanting to make the most of every country/city and what better way than to spend it in someones home where we can get a real feel of the culture.

ABOUT ME

We have both been travelling together since leaving London in October 2009, we have enjoyed the cultures of many countries and we enjoyed working and travelling in Australia on a holiday working visa. We now are currently in Russia and looking forward to the journey ahead through europe as we make our way home for Christmas, we are both very excited to be reunited with our friends and familys again very soon..

(miranda)i am 28years of age and work as a full time nanny when at home in London, i am currently looking into starting college next year to start an access course which will enable me to go to university to start Midwifery the following year, i am very excited about the career change ahead.
(cheryl)I am 24yrs old from Huddersfield...Before travelling i worked in London for 2years as a nanny and when i return back to england i will be returning to this area to continue nannying whilst studying for further education, i hope to one day to study physiotherapy.

A discription of Cheryl from Miranda...
-Cheryl has been a great friend, travel partner and support,she has been a great shoulder for me, as at times travelling has been very challenging emotionally and physically, we work well together as a team as we both bring different strengths, Cheryl is especailly good at the navigating as i bring no help, but i have improved in the 13months travelling!!(Cheryl may disagree!!)Cheryl is fun and loving and very thoughtful, i am sure we will remain friends forever to share all our great memories together...

A description of Miranda from Cheryl...
-Miranda is a chatter box and gives most people a run for their money. I love it when she gets into a book!
A lot of people say we’re like a married couple as we bicker a lot but we say sisters.
She is very adventurous when it comes to food and loves try all the different local cuisines.
Miranda likes to make the most of everything and exploring new places. She’s handles difficult challenges/situations very well and is very supportive in a time of need.
Miranda is a very kind and easy to get along with individual. She has a heart of gold and I have a lot of time for her. A great person to be around and travel the world with.

PHILOSOPHY

(miranda)I am a Christian, I enjoy learning and reading, i am organised and i usually like some kind of routine in my life, although travelling has definately challenged me! I am easy going and very excited about the future, i try to only take 1 day at a time!! I am a dreamer and a early to bed, early to rise type of person... and i cant wait to see my family and friends as i return back to London on the 15th December :)

I love being with my family and friends. I'm really looking forward to spending Christmas with them.
I cant wait to get in a kitchen again and cook. Baking is my escapism. I like getting into a good book, TV series and going to the cinema.

We are both new to this site and couch surfing, we have been recommended by many travellers we have met along the way and hope to have the same great experience as they have.

Interests

We both enjoy walking and exploring new places, buildings, parks, we both enjoy the cafe cultures, where we enjoy reflecting or just generally chilling and people watching etc.. we love to get a feel for different cultures in anyway we can, we enjoy learning to cook and try different foods from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

(miranda) I love movies, watching them at home or at the cinema, im a big kid at heart as i love my animations, especially disney :) i love my music, its always a great comfort to me, especially since travelling.. I love to read, my bags always heavy with books, my favourite authors being jane green, sophie kinsella, page toon etc...

We enojoy the same books and swap them between each other.
I like films that make u think,realistic, funny and sometimes a sad one when but not often.
I have really missed going to concerts, cant wait to catch up on my music and go to some more festivals. I enjoy a lot of differnt music, Indie begin the best for a boogie in the clubs.
