ABOUT ME

I am a passionate, empathetic, and joyful human being simply enjoying the journey of life. I absolutely love learning as well as connecting with people of all kinds of backgrounds. Recently, I finished my undergraduate studies, and after a few months of break this summer will be starting a job with AmeriCorps. I live in an intentional community in a low-income neighborhood of St. Paul which I have been in for the past couple of years and absolutely LOVE it! Embracing and learning from community living in addition to engaging with the broader community is extremely important to me. I am involved in the Karen refugee community from Burma/Thailand here in St. Paul and am learning the language (not Burmese as listed, they didn't have Karen as an option).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the pleasure of meeting couchsurfers at a community dinner a few times, but have never hosted or couchsurfed myself. I would love to in the future!

Interests

Community building and development, organic and sustainable agriculture, urban community gardening, food justice, discussing and attempting to alleviate social injustices, nonviolence & peacemaking, reconciliation and conflict management, Southeast Asian refugee support, simplicity, reading, writing, dancing- especially swing dancing!- cooking, singing, photography, art, upcycling, and deep conversations about life :)
