About Me

I am a young girl who has a dream of traveling to as many countries before I die. I have a boyfriend of two years, we live in a decent sized trailer with our dog (Blue Heeler), two cats, and a milk snake. I have not gone to college or university, but I have been spending my years working at my mother's company since my teenage years and I've just been saving up money to travel to as many places as I can before I settle down and have a family.

I know I only have a profile picture on this but if you would like proof of my travels that I have listed below. Add me on Facebook, Miranda Legge!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My boyfriend and I are planning a year long trip through Mexico, Central and South America, trying to hit 23 counties (two of the Caribbean Islands) and I found out that couch surfing would be a good idea/option for us. Especially in some of the more dangerous areas per say, I feel is would be better to have opinions of a local and have someone to give us advice and tips on getting around. I want to experience different ways of life, different culture behaviours and traditions, local cuisine and I am up for a challenge!

Interests

I used to do a lot of special effects makeup, and normal daily makeup for my friends and family during high school and up until now. I've been into drawing and painting all of my life and I have made three attempts at learning how to play piano. It's my favourite instrument but I am still no where on the skill level where I'd like to be. Trying to juggle a full time job, four pets, spending time with family, keeping fit, and keeping my house decently clean can be a challenge in it's own. So it's been difficult to pursue my dreams of being a SFX makeup artists in Vancouver, and to become a better drawer, painter, and pianist. I have hobbies and interests, but that's really all they are. Slowly I am increasing my ability but don't expect me to be an expert haha. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My iPod ranges from pop-punk, punk, metal-core, classic rock, soft rock, alternative rock, hard rock, glam rock, shock rock. Honestly anything really, just not a huge fan of the modern, mainstream pop that seem to have a very low level of talent in their music. Bands are Green Day, Sum 41, Simple Plan, The Used, Nirvana, Marilyn Manson, Asking Alexandria, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Blink 182, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, The Doors, Eminem, My Chemical Romance, Palaye Royale, Fall Out Boy, Billy Talent, Good Charlotte, Volbeat, Bullet for my Valentine, System of a Down, Korn, Guns N Roses, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Bring me the Horizon............ I could go on I guess but that's enough.

I am obsessed with Harry Potter, read all the books, seen the movies, went to Universal Studios Osaka, Japan for the Harry Potter ride/area etc. Went to the UK and Ireland with my boyfriend and did a month long Harry Potter trip going to loads of movie locations.

Favourite movie by far though is Stand By Me. Will be my favourite for the rest of my life.

I love Tim Burton like crazy, he is my role model and all time more loved artist. So anything by him by far.

My favourite books are The Child Thief by Brom, The Giver by Lois Lowry, Sugar Sugar Rune (manga) by Moyoco Anno.

As I am writing this I am in the middle of Dracula by Bram Stoker. I read the original The Vampyre short story by John William Polidori before I did my Transylvania, Romania trip in March 2017 and now that I am home I decided to read the Bram Stoker's novel considering I went to Vlad the Imapler's "castle" (Poenari castle) and seen "Dracula's" (Bran castle) as well.

Favourite anime is Death Note, traveled around Tokyo and did Death Note locations with my dad which was awesome, and of course other things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Convinced my father to walk up 1480 stairs up a side of a mountain in Romania with me to see the ruins of Vlad the Impaler from the 13th century.

Countries I’ve Visited
