Currently, I am growing up. Having time to just be me.
Hi! My name's Miriam and I'm 18 years old. I'm half German and can speak the language fluently, although my spoken German is a little rusty. I am currently working and saving to go travelling. I'm taking two gap years because I've always wanted to travel the world, and one year just wasn't long enough. I also have no idea what to do at university so it gives me some time to figure that one out!
I love life. It's as simple as that. I cannot wait to get out there and explore it and see all the beautiful things this world has to offer. I find sometimes we get so caught up in where we're going or where something's heading, we forget to actually enjoy the present. So I plan on enjoying every experience the next two years throws at me. And I hope I carry that enthusiasm with me for the rest of my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Never had any couchsurfing experience at all but it sounds like an exciting way to travel!
I absolutely love horse riding and have been doing it since I could walk. I also enjoy netball and I love books and literature.
Music, Movies, and Books
I've read so many books, seen so many films and like such a variety of different music, that I always find this one tricky! I love Wtuhering Heights by Emily Bronte and I have to admit it, I do the Twilight series! I recently watched 'Eat. Pray. Love' and enjoyed that a lot, probably because of the travelling aspect of the film. I enjoy music that ranges from hip hop and r&b to classical music, if it moves me, I will listen to and enjoy it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done and seen many amazing things in my lifetime, despite only being 18 years old! Walking through the colosseum in Rome and the surrounding ruins was certainly a highlight of my life so far. Watching the sun come up surrounded by Turkish mountains, whilst swimming just off a tiny little beach was fairly breath-taking. Argh, there are too many things to fit into one tiny box!
