ABOUT ME

With most of my life spent in Florida, I was raised to appreciate the smaller things in life (but totally indulge in the larger things when necessary). Eco-systems are my fascination and find it necessary to be outdoors everyday. My grandfather would sit with my sister and I in front of the globe and tell us stories of Hewie, Louie, Dewie and their worldly adventures. That was all I needed to want my own adventure stories. I live to tell these stories to whoever will listen. My small, historic, beach town has kept me humble and honest. I have the most wonderful family with great wisdom of such diverse topics. I feel as though they keep me in the now of all current events. My clients also influence me where to turn my head next and how quickly. They are like my personal library. And am so grateful I fell into such a rewarding and progressive career. I open my mind and heart through travel; learning how to be me was the greatest gift this universe could have ever given me. Comfort in your own skin is a beautiful thing.

Interests

Basically anything water and endurance related I'm into. I enjoy a challenge as well as a cake walk. I adapt well to different environments and cultures. I've been told I can work a room like no other, I am a highly social being. So it is important for me to see and be seen. My favorite of travel activities is people watching. I also enjoy to watch the interaction of animals with other animals and people. I have a backyard barnyard and love knowing where my food is coming from. Watching my dog play with my chickens is a great way for me to start my day.

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to think I'd make a living in comedy. As it turns out, I have stage fright. Any comedy new or old is always worth watching for the punch lines. Favorite writers include Tom Robbins, Bill Bryson and Joan Didion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The top amazing thing thus far, Trekking to Machu
Picchu via Salcantay, through the Peruvian Andes and into the jungle. Lessons learned through that trip will never be forgotten.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, my trade is always something others want to know how to do. I have taught many couples how to groom each other. I have a wealth of information on backyard chickens and how to raise them. Cooking is a passion and am always looking to sit in, in someones kitchen.
