About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live my life!

ABOUT ME

About me?... hm... ok. I'm originally from Germany but have been around Brighton on and off since 2006, so consider myself half English by now :). Brighton is a good place to be (the winters can be tough and long but after every grey winter, when the sun comes out and the little cafes in the lanes and down the seafront get their tables out, we all remember why we are here:))... I took my biiiig first adventure in 2010 when I went to New Zealand for work and travel. The best year of my life! I had some savings then, so could also see some places on the way there and back, such as a little bit of the States, Australia and Hong Kong. New Zealand was my favourite though! :) I think I actually fell in love with the place and the lovely people out there. I've been back two times for shorter visits but based back here in Brighton for now. Couchsurfing made my travels in a lot of ways and I'd love to keep a little bit of that spirit up, although I can't travel myself at the moment. For now I can't really host as I live in a tiny place with very sensitive neigbhbours but I'm trying to still get involved in meetings and whenever I take a little trip somewhere I'm making sure to give my best to find a nice couchy to spend some time with.

PHILOSOPHY

treat people the way you want to be treated.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I can and I do my best do be a good guest when I surf :)... I love to meet people from CS to exchange travel stories and to be part of events and group activities... I give my best to spread the spirit and to be good company :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

There are too many amzing stories to tell that wouldn't quite fit in here! :) Couchsurfing changed my life! From the day I hosted my first couchsurfer in Brighton, ... I met the most amazing people over the last years when I was travelling. I was hosted by great people, did fun trips organised by couchsurfing groups, got to see things and places I would've never without certain couchsurfers, I hosted fun people in different places and made friends for life! The world feels small now. When I returned to Germany after my travels, couchsurfing friends from all over the world popped by or where around Europe. Awesome! Will never foget New Years 2011 in Berlin when quite a few of us from all over the world met to celebrate a big one! :). I'm glad the internet excists so we all can easily stay in touch no matter where we are! :)

Interests

Oh! Has it always been ONE amazing thing?? Haha..

I was walking 1.6 miles over the Golden Gate Bridge - and back!! Always wanted to do that!! :)

Looking down the Grand Canyon! Felt so tiny! ...

Climbed Mt. Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom from Lord of the Rings)all by myself when walking the Tangoriro Crossing. Pretty intense as I'd never done rock climbing before... So proud when I made it up ... and down!
