About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To work out what I'm looking for and have a great time looking for it.

ABOUT ME

ummmmmm....
creative, interested, involved, positive, friendly, gregarious, adventurous, curious..
pretty much up for anything at least once.

PHILOSOPHY

Still working this one out but something along the lines of living in harmony with the planet.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not sure how I participate just yet, still working it out but I'm willing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The usual 'Kiwi styles' of putting up friends, friends of friends, distant second cousins, people off the street. It's always great to meet new people, to show them your hood or get a real insight into a new place from people who live there, rather than staying in a tourist hotel.

Interests

Samba (drumming and dancing) - I absolutely love it.
Yoga and meditation
Gardening (when I have a garden to play in)
Music
Reading
Film
Food! God I love food. I love cooking for people and trying new flavours.
Travel
Adventure
Swimming in the ocean or a clean fresh lake.
Rugby and Football

Music, Movies & Books

Just been blown away by Kite Runner and 1000 Suns.
I love Haruki Murakami's books
The unbearable lightness of being
Now reading 'A New Earth' - Eckhart Tolle
ALL music - love it
Movies (a small selection) - into the wild, princess bride, withnail and i, godfather trilogy, la dolce vita, city of god, lord of the rings, pulp fiction, drunken master, zatoichi, star wars trilogy, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, life of brian..

One Amazing Thing I've Done

All overwhelmingly ocean based!

On night watch on my mum's boat, 5 days from Fiji on the way to NZ, I watched a 360 degree sunrise like I was the only person on earth. I felt insignificant and immensely important at the same time.

Then there's the time I was riding on the bow sprit of a tall ship in moonlight with 8 dolphins under my feet, phosphorescence streaming off their tails like comets..

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach about:
Yoga
Samba
Meditation

I want to learn about:
anything really!
Would love to learn Spanish!
