About Me

Every person you meet can give you an experience you've never had before. I want to travel the world, see everything, show, and be shown.

I'm from NYC. I'm 25, I love coffee. I carry pens and paper with me everywhere, always have my video camera, I work for a university, I'm good at designing and sculpture. I have a side business where I bake cakes and decorate them for weddings and parties. Its quite successful. It combines art and sweet things, what could be better?? I love restaurants, museums, parks, hiking... I love meeting new people, I'll always make the best out of any situation, I have great friends in the city and I love my mom. I love cold weather and long walks, I bike ride everywhere when its warm. I read and write more than I do anything else. I usually let whomever I'm with decide what we're going to do that day/week. I enjoy people's company, and know a lot of great places in my city, so always feel free to reach out. I don't want to toot my own horn, but there is no better guide to NYC than me when it comes to unknown treasures. I can show anyone the best side of the city that they wouldn't have seen otherwise. Gimme a shout.

This is the box for being cliche, so I'll start. Balance. Living successfully is a balancing act. Im still finding out what's important to me, and in the meantime, doing my best to prioritize different aspects of my life gracefully.
People forget how you get ONE life. Just one. If you're lucky you get 80 years average on this planet. Eat everything, touch everything, meet everyone, stop being picky or scared, or judgmental and just laugh, sweat, swim, breath, talk, learn, make mistakes, etc.
While my life on paper seems conventional, I regularly practice the art of looking at something without the filter of societal structure. I try to see things for what they are instead of how culture has taught me to view things. As a result, I think I've avoided painting myself into a corner.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Though I'm not comfortable enough with the site and with the community to lend my couch yet, some have said I should be a tour guide for the best underground gems of NYC. You'll never have a NY experience the way you would if I'm leading the way. So please feel free to reach out, because I'll have just as much fun showing you, as you will have seeing my beautiful city.

I'm a bit of a hedonist. Anything that's relaxing, anything that feels good, anything that screams vacation!!! I like lounging on a picnic blanket in the park, walking, hiking, biking, eating, coffee, museums, scrabble, eating bitter cheese, drinking fine wine, concerts, pulling pranks, libraries, sight seeing, swimming, sailing, tennis, horseback riding, there are few pleasurable activities I don't like doing...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stood obnoxiously on the Equator. Jumped out of a plane, started Mandarin lessons, started my own company, and finished the 2009 ING NYC marathon (televised!!). US Division 1 Tennis team in college. National Thespian Society member. Performed in front of hundreds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know every nook & cranny of my city. I speak Italian, I speak Spanish. I can teach/play tennis. I can speak extensively about European History, I can teach sailing. I don't have a boat (its on my christmas list). Let me know if you're giving one away... I am a foodie's dream tour guide. I can't teach music, but I'll share a jam session. I sing and play piano, so guitar players are fun to hang out with. I can go horseback riding, but can't teach. I want to learn how to snowboard!!!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, Canada, Ecuador, Italy, Mexico, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
