Please note: I am only offering to host FEMALE couchsurfers or couples -Please do not submit a couch request if you are a solo male traveler, thanks for your understanding :-)
I'm from Colorado but have also lived in Spain, NYC, Kansas City, Montreal, and China (for almost 4 years). I'm now living in North Hollywood and I work at a tech startup company in downtown LA that's focused on giving people the digital tools they need to organize their communities.
I heart jazz, hip hop, house, Beatles, Bob Dylan, and everything in between. I adore people who think, read, talk politics (or not) and I'm a person who doesn't shy away from controversy. Secretly, I love to sing, and in the future I hope to take more boats/ ferries across rivers and lakes in China. Lastly, I prefer trains over planes. Looking forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf AND host as much as possible -- I love meeting new people and practicing my Spanish, French, English and *broken* Chinese. So feel free to contact me and let's share some stories- why not?
My first Couchsurfing experience was in Guangzhou, China, and that made me fall in love with China even more - enough said. Couchsurfers are some of the most amazingly kind & interesting people that I have ever met & I'm now on a mission to persuade more of my friends to join the CS movement.
I am passionate about community building, women's leadership and youth empowerment. From 2010-2012 I volunteered as the co-president of the Nanjing chapter of Wokai (a USA-based microfinance org) and I am crazy about social entrepreneurship. My friends and I started up a new informal volunteer organization called Nanjing Community Outreach in China. If you are interested in volunteering/community service, TEDx, charity, smashing stereotypes, etc let's be friends ^_^
