About Me

CURRENT MISSION

get paid to go camping and experiment on stuff...

ABOUT ME

I love science! Studying science has giving me a profound respect for the world around me and has had a great impact on my perspective on life. This has led me to be an extremely open-minded and accepting person because in the grand scheme of things, we are all stardust. I'm about to embark on my first international experience and the excitement of traveling has inspired me.

PHILOSOPHY

"What would the child in you used to be say about the adult you are today?" I am a firm believer in following intuition and believing in yourself. We are finite in the grand scheme of things so make sure you are doing what you want to do with the blip of existence you get. Above all, everything in life is a choice, no matter how difficult.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Honestly, I started this in order to find somebody to crash with for a few nights while I get my research thesis done. I am more than willing to return the favor and give someone else the same opportunity to pursue their dreams.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never officially couch surfed, but I had a friend who hosted a couchsurfer once. Fortunately the guy was a great person and it was cool to hear his story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was about 12 years old and was camping with my family in Texas. One day we were out exploring the area when we happened upon a man offering boat rides across the river into Mexico. We paid the man $2 a person and he rowed our entire family across. We followed a path for a few hundred meters to a small village where we enjoyed authentic cuisine and cerveza in a little cantina. After lunch we went back to the river and the man rowed us back to Texas. Best adventure ever!

Teach, Learn, Share

Each year 98% of the atoms in your body are replace and are 100% entirely replaced every 5 years. Not a single atom in your body resides there forever and there is a 100% chance that 1000s of other humans through history held some of the same atoms that you currently hold in your body. This is believed to be the cause of nostalgia as we reminisce on the memories we had in our old bodies and could be correlated with feelings of past lives.

Countries I’ve Visited
