To meet people who come from the area where my great grandparents came from and learn about the people and culture and get good recipes

ABOUT ME

I am retired and volunteer in the schools helping little people to "catch up" and/or learn to read and write. I am a student of spiritual growth and would love to meet others who also are interested in our traverse through this plane and what we are supposed to learn on the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always had a ready couch but am now a little wary because of all the problems that exist in this world today. I have slept on floors, in basements, behind chairs, under kitchen tables, beside cars on the beach and many other interesting places. This has resulted in many very special friendships.

Interests

I like to draw in pen and ink. I am currently trying to learn to draw in pencil. I like to crazy quilt and do other quilting projects, but I have never made a quilt. I like to visit interesting places. I have only been out of the country once except for Canada and Mexico. I spent a month in Haifa, Israel. Wow, what an experience!!
