About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Survive school and plan a crazy trip abroad.

ABOUT ME

I love to travel and experience new cultures and meet new people, speak Spanish, work with children, play basketball, write, and think how about how to make the world a better place. I have a personal affinity for Latin America and can't wait to go back. Tengo mucho tiempo estudiando español y creo que lo hablo bien :) I enjoy good conversation and even better food and beer. I'm a pretty relaxed person and get along with just about everybody. I pretty spend half my days planning imaginary vacations...

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's very important for all of us to get out of our comfort zone once in awhile and realize that we live in a world that's much bigger than ourselves. I think traveling is incredibly important and beneficial so long as you actually make an effort to get to know the people, culture, and language of where you're going. I love laying on a tropical beach as much as the next person, but I probably will spend more time talking to taxi drivers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of good movies. Lately, I've been watching a lot of foreign movies to keep my Spanish sharp. The Wire is the greatest show ever, and I also strangely like the show Bones. As far as music goes I am open to everything. At the moment I listen to a lot of J. Cole, Perrozompopo, El Clubo, and acoustic guitar. Reading is also great, but I rarely have time to read for pleasure anymore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Chichén Itzá was overwhelmingly cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a very open person and love to share my experiences and hear those of others. I'm down for learning and trying anything, and value good relationships.

Countries I’ve Visited

Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In

Guatemala
