ABOUT ME

Above all I love to learn new things by hearing the stories of others or sharing stories about myself; couchsurfing seems like a great way to supplement that philosophy. I was raised in Kansas, but have lived in Boston, France, and Philadelphia. I love reading everything and anything - I like to think I have an open mind, because people always surprise me!

I love a wide range of music: Mika to Foo Fighters. I can't pick a favorite book, but authors I love include Margaret Atwood, P.G. Wodehouse, and Jeffrey Eugenides. I'm easy to please with movies, there aren't too many that I dislike. I love Quentin Tarantino (True Romance) and can get blissfully wrapped up in the fantasy of period pieces.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was an au pair for two little girls in France for six months when I was 21, which was incredible - both fun and a challenge. I ran the Boston Marathon which physically pushed me harder than anything else I have experienced.

I love to run so I could help someone find great running paths in Philadelphia; I also know a fair amount about Impressionist art and would love to indulge in some conversations about painting and sculpture. I am intermediate in French and would love to teach or have the opportunity to speak more!
