ABOUT ME

In 2009 I graduated with a degree in Spanish, Global Studies and Interpreting from the University of Minnesota. I was working as a medical interpreter in the twin cities, where I got to spend my days speaking Spanish and helping people communicate. I spent last year working as an English teaching assistant in Jaen, Spain and now I am teaching in Gijon!

I am absolutely totally completely compulsively addicted to world travel!!!!! My favorite thing is seeing the different ways people lead their lives. I really really enjoy meeting new people and learning about the places I visit and have made a genuine effort to keep in touch with the people I've met around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is a book, if you don't travel you only read one page.

My absolute favorite thing is to travel and to meet new and interesting people!!! I love talking about cultural differences because I think they are one of the most interesting things about our world. We have so much to learn from each other. Speaking Spanish is also at the top of my list. It takes me to another version of me-- and I like it.

-Macchu Picchu, quiet and serene, at 6am.
-Chicago at sunset from the 95th floor of the John Hancock building.
-The beautifully quiet countryside North of Amsterdam, via bike.
-The view while jumping out of a plane in Wisconsin.
-Swimming in the Mediterranean during sunrise on my 20th birthday, Barcelona.
-Hiking through the Taman Negara Rainforest, Malaysia.
-Curing my tequila hangover by bungee jumping, Acapulco, Mexico.
-Walking across the Northrup stage as the first person in my family to graduate college.

My friend landed at one, me at the other. We found each other 2 hours later on a street corner. Just know, there are 2 airports in Paris!
