About Me

study, learn, discover, read, watch, see, go, do, live buenos aires

I enjoy literature, especially latin american and spanish literature, the movies and photography. But my favourite passtimes are cooking and travelling, I suppose.

Live and let live - trying to avoid to make life unnecessarily hard for oneself and others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I had the opportunity to enjoy the hospitability of couchsurfers in various occasions - and my flatmate and I are happy to offer our couch to anyone who needs it.

So far, I have had only pleasant and enriching experiences with couchsurfing, getting to know interesting and open-minded people with whom I share the concept of sharing: couches, languages, ideas...or whatever it might be.

I'm open to all kinds of things, but I guess I'm especially interested in travelling, cooking, literature, cinema and taking pictures, as mentioned in the "about myself" section.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite movies: Dogville, La niña santa, Metropolis,...there's too many of them to mention. Musicwise I've always liked Radiohead, Johnny Cash, Manu Chao and Bob Dylan; Brad Mehldau is amazing, and Leonard Cohen's songs are mere poetry. Books: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, La ciudad y los perros, among many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I made a bicycle tour from Vienna to Barcelona, 2600km: me, my bike, my tent and all the marvellous people and landscapes I met and saw along the way. It was kind of a pilgrimage, and I enjoyed being alone but able to connect, seeing the beauty of the world without polluting it. Pollution is a definitely a problem we all should be more aware of than ever, and those who we like to travel, even more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do suspect of people who predicate their certainties, of any kind, without listening to other voices, doubts. I'm kind of opening up my mind ultimately, heading towards new experiences which I was unsensible to before. What it means I do not know (yet), but I invite you to find out with me and construct a piece of reality together.
