Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If there's one hobby I can be truly proud of, it would have to be Couchsurfing. As a surfer or a host, I have had the exquisite pleasure of meeting and befriending complete strangers, staying in local homes instead of hotels or hostels, and helping out fellow travelers in need.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES As far as movies go, I generally lean the same direction as books. With the added ingredient of Drama. I love The Illusionist and The Prestige. I enjoy action flicks, Die Hard, Armageddon, The Rock, The Net. I'm not a huge comedy fan... though I will indulge on occasion when there is nothing else to watch and I'm bored. I love cartoons and watch Disney movies faithfully... Bedknobs and Broomsticks is still a favorite. My most recent favorites are The Spiderwick Chronicles and Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m not a perfect person, of course, I’ve been making lots of mistakes, but I don’t regret about none of them.
If you ask me, whether I’d want to start learning English earlier if I had a chance, I’d say – Yes. If you ask me, whether I’d want to start traveling and discovering the world earlier, I’d say – Yes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I try to help out with dishes and buy&prepare the food, or bring a postcard from your city and leave a nice note on the fridge before you leave. Some hosts expect you to hang out with them. I went to a bar with a local band playing in Vancouver i wouldn't have visited otherwise, and it was actually a nice evening.
