ABOUT ME

I'm a traveller from Australia who is just rediscovering his couch surfing profile.

I spent much of last year discovering Europe and this year Asia has been the playground. Hence China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and ten India are all on the cards.

I'm on a constant search for chilli, the local home brew and serviettes from aroun the world to add to my growing collection.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Man has been couchsurfing for generations through the pure goodness of the human spirit.

It's only recently we've attached a website to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far the only couch surfing i've done has been completely informal, incidentals...where people i've met have taken me into their homes....out of the pure kindness of their heart and the fact that we still had another gd 4 hours of conversation left in us....

Oh and special mention to the turkish bakers in Malmo who let me spend a night in their bread van because their house already had 12 people in a 2 bedroom apartment but they wouldn't hear of me booking into a hostel.

I can't wait to get my own place next year so i can throw it open to the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ran with the bulls in Pamplona

Got smuggled across the border from Malmo to Copenhagen in the back of a turkish bread van and back. The same van i later spent the night in.

Shot, killed, skinned, gutted, marinated and barbequed a kangaroo in the Australian Outback....feeding about 30 people in the process. Apologies to any vegetarians i may offend but we were hungry.

Slept in a roundabout in Verona because i couldn't find a hotel for the night and it seemed like the safest place to be since there was traffic around.

Danced on the rooftop of the Swissotel in Singapore back when it was still the tallest hotel in the world

Pumped a beating heart while it was still sitting in someone's chest to help keep him alive.

Watched my best mate giving head to a knothole in a tree for 12 minutes while he was tripping out on mushrooms in Amsterdam.

Saved a life. Taken a life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll cook for you....a variety of dishes from across Asia predominantly which is where i grew up....if someone can teach me the art of making the perfect scrambled egg. It still escapes me.

I'll teach yu to dance...if you'll teach me how you dance. Cos we each have our own little beats banging away in our hearts and we dance to that rythem.
