About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To visit Iceland and to see the northern lights

ABOUT ME

I'm a San Francisco native so I can give some tips on what to do and see here beyond Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. I would like to meet new people and would love to travel more when I can afford it. I've been working as a fundraiser for various nonprofits for about eight years and am now at a chapter for a huge international nonprofit. I studied sociology and botany of all things in college and still love to be in nature when possible. I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years or so. I've been to a lot of cities and other countries, but there are so many more that I would like to visit. While I have been fortunate enough to have visited over 25 countries, only a couple of visits were with people who lived in the country and could give me the true local's experience.

PHILOSOPHY

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
-Dr. Seuess

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still pretty new here, so not quite sure yet! I would love to meet people coming to SF for drinks and maybe give a little tour of the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still new to the whole CouchSurfing world! I learned about it from some friends. I've gone to a couple of local CS events, but haven't yet hosted or surfed myself.

Interests

I love to travel (duh), explore San Francisco, do crafty things like make soap and jewelry, go to museums, read, go to concerts, and be with friends. I love taking pictures, but can't quite call myself a photographer yet. Someday soon I'd like to sign up for some photography classes and develop my skills. Recently, I've really gotten into lomography so I have been playing with my fisheye and panoramic cameras.
