About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Current mission? To graduate and then get the heck up out of SC!
ABOUT ME
I like walks (both short and long). I'm not a huge fan of sunlight, but I like overcast days. The full moon intrigues me, and I miss being near the ocean. :(
I've recently been interested in hearing more blues and jazz in the city, and figuring out which of the MANY craft beers in the area will become my new favorite.
Disclaimer: I have near-crippling social anxiety. It's so bad, that my previous job as a telemarketer put me in the hospital with panic attacks. I'm still working my way up to "goes to parties and dances" levels of greatness, but for now all I can handle outside of the house is "group of 5 sings obnoxiously at a bar unprompted" levels of greatness. ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a social moth: I usually only go out at night and prefer one-on-one or small gatherings to huge groups and parties. If anyone's swinging through the city and wants to do something, I'd be more than happy to meet up and hang out for a few hours. :)
Interests
Semi-casual gamer, amateur chef, and poet extraordinaire. Froyo is probably the best stuff on earth, and boba tea is running a close second.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Mostly alt- stuff and rock, but I'm pretty fluid in my interests here. I grew up listening to oldies from the 50's and 60's and my uncle was a bit obsessed with Prince. 90's r&b and hip hop are always welcome, and pop doesn't exactly make my ears bleed.
Movies: The Breakfast Club; Howl's Moving Castle; Clue
Books: Anything John Grisham fits the bill, honestly. If you know of a book of his that I might not have read, feel free to tell me about it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Nothing too spectacular, I'm afraid. As someone living with bipolar disorder I feel like the most amazing thing I've done so far is not letting it completely cripple me. I have days where I'd rather sleep for eternity but I roll out of bed anyway because I refuse to let this thing wear me down anymore.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach children to dream.
Learn how to love yourself.
Share your passion with others.
(Am I doing this right?)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Next year, I hope to begin decorating old furniture. Hopefully I'll be able to bring something along once I start traveling again to leave with people that put me up (and put up with me!). :D
