They say we never get to really know ourselves, and maybe that's why for me it's so hard to describe me, but ok, let's try.
I find myself a person that can easily adapt to almost any kind of situation, place or people, at the end there's always something we can learn even from bad experiences, hopefully. I believe that I don't need much stuff to be happy, so I try to lead a simple life and try to "collect" rather experiences and friends than stuff I don't really need.
I'm not that much of a party girl but I do like having fun. I enjoy a lot sharing a beer with friends and eating and chatting and listening to music. I love going to concerts or to small and more private music shows. I'd love to make music myself but I think I haven't find my instrument yet (or that's what I say to justify my complete fail with the guitar, maybe), but I'd like to keep looking after "the one" (and yeah, practice is important, I know).
Sometimes when I'm on the mood I also like to dance, no one said I was good at it, but that shouldn't stop me from trying, ah? And anyways, I think it's cool to make fun of ourselves once in a while. When I'm on the mood for something more relaxed, I rather to go watch a movie or a play, or just staying home watching it and eating popcorn, that always seems like a good plan to me.
I know this is something that a lot people says in here, and I guess that's why we're here (being part of this site), but I love meeting people from other places and sharing our differences, I think that's one of the best ways to expand our perspective and make us aware that there is not only one way or a single absolute truth. There's this phrase that got stuck in my memory ever since I saw it at the gay village in Montreal, and I couln't agree more:
"Nous croyons que les différences doivent enrichir plutôt que diviser" or "We believe that the differences should enrich rather than divide".
At this time I'm doing an exchange semester in Lyon and I'm profiting to take courses of other fields that interest me, such as anthropology, circus and cinema, and of course I'm practicing my french a lot!
But as I'm already here there's no way I can't miss the opportunity to travel ha? So if you're able to offer me a couch I promise to behave and not burn down your house :), I could maybe cook a Mexican dish for you or practice Spanish or share anything that comes to our mind at the moment!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it is such a great tool for making community and sharing a little bit of ourselves with others.
Interculturality, languages, sustainable development, cycling, non-motorised mobility, community development, cinema, theater, circus, music, cooking-baking-eating, and of course traveling.
