About Me

Hello, I'm Monika from Lithuania but currently I'm staying in Nottingham. I’m highly interested in psychology as I chose studies in this field. Moreover, I like philosophy as well. Sometimes I find it quite devastating because it can crash all hopes and shatter soul in general but it’s okay because life is more interesting this way. Apart from this, I like doing casual things like going out with my friends, being somewhere on a hill and staring at the horizon. Yes, and watching movies, reading books is also pleasant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I tend to travel around in England quite often, I'd like to see not only breathtaking views but also meet new people and I truly believe couchsurfing is a great way to do that

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not very picky regarding music and can listen to many kinds of songs. But mostly I like relaxing pieces, piano, jazz.
However, I'm more picky for movies. Sci -fi, mind bending types of movies are my favorite. So far the most memorable are these: Mr. Nobody
Donnie Darko
V for vendetta
Old boy
Trance
The exam
One flew over the cuckoo’s nest
The machinist
Nightcrawler
Enemy
Source code
Interstellar
Waking life
Milholland drive
Good Will Hunting
Aaaaaand the list can go oooon and oooon.

The list of my favorite reads mostly includes philosophical, psychological type of books, novels. Some of them are:Albert Camus books
Jean Paul Sartre ‘Nausea’
Rainer Maria Rilke ‘The Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge’
Antanas Škėma ‘the white shroud’
Fyodor Dostoyevsky ‘Crime and punishment’

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, to be honest, coming to an unknown country, completely alone is the most crazy and amazing thing I've done so far. I don't know how it's going to turn out but hope everything is going to be in chocolate.
