eat a lot and walk a lot
I make video games in my spare time (I'm not good at it...yet!) I am quirky, friendly, and have great manners (hooray!). I'm not sure what else to put in here, but I really am an awesome person!!
I live life with good intentions for myself and the people I meet. I'm a positive person (but not over the top, I'm pretty realistic), I try to help when I'm able to. I'm into exploring the world and seeing what's out there because I think that's the best way for me to learn anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can provide help around Portland area with advice/city knowledge and friendly meet ups. I'm also a traveller and would love to find places to stay (I can cook in return, or sew things, or help with random stuff. Although I'm really bad at cooking meat, just inexperienced).
I've couch surfed a little bit in California/Montana/Oregon/Wyoming and am excited to expand! Before getting my feet wet in CS I hosted friends and have been hosted by friends. It usually involves late nights with making tea and watching the rain outside or cooking breakfast for everyone Since taking part in CS I've learned a lot about the community and only grown more excited to meet more couch surfers!
Writing, music, films, photography, video games, cats, dogs (this seems like a very broad list...), vegan/vegetarian lives, art, biking, and bedazzling.
- video games
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - Daisies, The Cruise, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, La Strada, and a million others. I work at a movie theater.
Music - Anything ranging from Thelonious Monk to Beck.
Books (authors) - Mark Twain, Roberto Bolano, Tim O'Brien, Lorrie Moore, etc. Currently reading Ursula Le Guin's The Dispossessed.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to work as a traveling carny. It was amazing, in a very weird weird way.
Teach, Learn, Share
Vegan/veggie cooking (I'm not strictly vegan or veggie, but it's how I know how to cook), sewing, really basic drum beats, I can edit papers/writing really well, I'm generally a gifted problem solver (but I think every experienced traveller is).
